Join us for a screening of the award-winning film Oil & Water, the true story of two boys coming of age as they confront one of the world’s worst toxic disasters. Hugo comes to America to fight for the survival of his Cofan tribe in the Ecuadorian Amazon, while David goes to Ecuador to launch the world’s first company to certify oil as “fair trade.” After the screening a panel will discuss the issues presented. This event is free and open to the public at the Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center at UNO, where limited parking is available. We'll be on the second floor, rooms 201-209.
